Canada has announced a CAD 10 million (approximately Tk 88.71 crore) contribution to support the supply of clean cooking fuel for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar. The funding, provided through UNHCR and IOM, will help around 243,500 refugee households access liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), improving safety, reducing environmental degradation, and ensuring sustainable cooking solutions for nearly 1.2 million Rohingya refugees.

The Bangladesh Coast Guard has rescued nine people, including three Rohingya refugees, after a trawler carrying around 280 passengers sank near the Andaman Sea while bound for Malaysia. Survivors describe being lured by traffickers, overcrowded conditions, and two days clinging to floating objects in the open sea. The fate of the remaining passengers is unknown.

Residents of northern Maungdaw allege that Rohingya communities continue to face forced displacement, killings, and land seizures under the control of the Arakan Army. According to local testimonies, families from Myaw Taung (Chaliprang) were expelled from their homes in October 2024, while four Rohingya civilians were reportedly killed in March 2026. Local sources are urging the United Nations and other international organizations to conduct independent investigations into the alleged abuses and ensure accountability.
