Leda, Cox’s Bazar, 20 November 2025, Armed bandits forcibly entered a host family’s home in Leda on Thursday night by breaking through the wall and abducted one man after almost an hour of attempts. The incident occurred around 9:00 PM in an area that has seen repeated criminal activity.
Several mobile phones were also robbed from Rohingya customers who were sitting in shops during separate incidents the same night.
Local reporting from the area indicates that the bandits involved were a mixed group linked to both Nayapara Registered Camp and nearby host settlements. It was further reported that a police camp was located close to the area, yet the group continued their attempts at the house for nearly an hour before taking the man away.
The incidents highlight a continuing pattern of attacks faced in Leda, where night-time raids and robberies have been repeatedly reported.
